Birds and flowers were there and so was the sun.
How many birds did we hear and watch? We do not know, but it does not matter. Birds were just as well high in the sky as hidden in the woods. Our guide made us listen to every tiny song: the young birds calling their parents for help, hardly audible bird songs, and so on.
Flowers offered a luxurious sight; all colours and all sizes were represented in the meadows, under the woods, along the lane, near the river.
We were grateful for this long moment of serenity far from the uproar of our daily life.
