Orange Cake Recipe


4 eggs
200g white flour
200g melted butter
150g sugar
One orange (juice and grated skin)
One flat teaspoon baking powder

150g icing sugar
60g butter
2 tablespoons orange juice


  1. Mix the yolks, butter, sugar, flour, orange juice, grated orange skin baking powder in one bowl.
  2. Beat the egg-whites in a second bowl, pour into the first bowl and mix lightly.
  3. Pour the mixture into a rectangular cake-tin.
  4. Bake for 50 minutes at 200°C (preheated)
  5. Mix icing sugar, butter, orange juice in a third bowl, and spread the icing on the cake while it is warm.
  6. Eat! And enjoy!
