Bees in Romania

In Romania, honey is used as medicine.

A woman (the director of a university of medicine) remembered that her grand-mother in her village used to nurse her neighbours with honey. (she wasn’t a doctor)

Honey is good for healing.

Pollen is good for the digestion and even the venom of bees is good for the Multiple Sclerosis.

So in Romania, bees are protected.

Romania is a pioneer in “apitherapy”. Thirty medicines based on honey are recognised as true medicines.

There are 42000 beekeepers in Romania, compared to 2000 beekeepers in France.
